Sciatica
The sciatic nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in the human body. It originates from the lower spine, specifically the nerve roots in the lumbar and sacral regions (L4 to S3), and travels down through the buttocks, hips, and the back of each leg. It provides sensory and motor function to the lower extremities, including the thigh, calf, foot, and toes.
